I finally uploaded all my videos from the concert.

I went to the Webster Hall show and it was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING FANTASTIC HOLY SHIT MIND BLOWING WOW. It was perfect.

After the show I got to speak to Kaki as always at the merch table. I met her beautiful girlfriend Jessica, whose beauty stunned me when i saw her to the point the i stumbled over my words a bit. I completely forgot that I had posted here about her dating a girl from kentucky, which Kaki brought up and i onl;y remembered after the fact. Im extremely happy for them and that they're still together. Kaki has got a new apartment and she's really happy about it. She congratulated me on my engagement to my boyfriend and gave me the new psoter which is asbsolutely beautiful. Her set with the mountain goats was astounding. This was my second favourite show--the baruch show was one of a kind and really incredible so nothing gets better than that for me.

ugh im so jealous. lol. glad u had a great time.

ONE MORE THING.

before she played 'night after sidewalk', she revealed what the song was written about. she explained that when she was 19, she and her friend planned to play the famous sidewalk cafe open mic night. she said they were naive in believing big things would come of the performance and even wrote little bio's and other such things. on the night of the open mic at sidewalk cafe, which is a very noteworthy venue for folk artists in new york city, she and her friend were set to play. after waiting and waiting for their chance, kaki's friend went on first and according to kaki it totally sucked while her performance really killed. following the performance, the guy at sidewalk cafe approached her friend and chose him to play over kaki. the next night, feeling very sad and rejected, kaki wrote 'night after sidewalk'.

If that doesn't work, I'll beg to go to Paris.

i went to the Beirut show last night where Kaki opened. she played a short 7 song set with Matt Hankle on drums. The setlist was really awesome and she played 2 songs she's never played live before. She played her orange baritone guitar for 5 out of the 7 songs. After the show she told me it was a hard show to play since her baritone is all warped since she hasnt really used it for 2 years. The strings looked really heavy in gauge as well.

wow man that's what happened to us at the end of "the Exhibition" show in NYC haha
we had met her the show before(The Stuyvesant Town Oval show) and told her then that we would like to show her our music, and that night at the exhibition we had our guitars we went up to kaki and asked if we could show her some of our songs and she said after the show.

so we waited and she took us backstage and we played 3 songs.

she said that they were Quote for Quote "Fucking Awesome"
