Pull Me Out Alive Lyrics
Hi, I'm writing an assignment on some texts, which includes Pull Me out Alive by Kaki King. I just can't seem to find any completely accurate lyrics on the internet though, as a lot of them conflict with each other. I was wondering if anyone had a physical copy of the CD and if they could tell me what the lyrics are in the CD sleeve?
Thanks in advance

Re: Pull Me Out Alive Lyrics
I'm sorry to tell you but there are no lyrics in the booklet.
I hope you find them somewhere!

Re: Pull Me Out Alive Lyrics
This is my best guess. lol
The tyranny of trying to know
Everything takes over the freedom of the mind
To find it's own quest knowing more about
Lets end lets long, enough stand in, closer (?)
Of violence fair to these not then quandary (?)
fainting of
the tendrils that
siren and there
my mate and me
pull me out
pull me out alive
pull me out
pull me out alive
oh take me to
cities where all
the hot spots are
inform the institutions
from the defunct
soviet union
when every arrow
will be defined as
post war to be
a bossed collision course
but if the universe
is raised and then body
you will
pull me out
pull me out alive
pull me out
pull me out alive
The tyranny of trying to know
Everything takes over the freedom of the mind
To find it's own quest knowing more about
Lets end lets long, enough stand in, closer (?)

Re: Pull Me Out Alive Lyrics
here's a live video of her doing it solo where you can undersstand a few words in the first verse more clearly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSTaRm2OiWI

That's my video ! The first verse might be OK, but don't rely on that video to work out the words to the second verse because I'm pretty sure she even messed up her own lyrics (it sounds like she left out one or two lines).

Re: Pull Me Out Alive Lyrics
OK I've attempted this and so far, to me the lyrics sound like:
The tyranny of trying to know
Everything takes over the freedom
Of the mind to find its own course
Knowing more about less, and less long
Study of ? ? violence fail to piece
Their quinary fainting of the tendrils
That siren ? ? my mate and me
Pull me out
Pull me out alive
Pull me out
Pull me out alive
Take me to cities where all the hot spots are
Before the institutions from the defunct Soviet Union
When every arrow will be defined as post-war
To be a bomb collision course
But if the universe is random
Then love is reality
Pull me out
Pull me out alive
Pull me out
Pull me out alive
Pull me out
Pull me out alive
Pull me out
Pull me out alive
It's very hard to hear the lyrics clearly over the instruments, and even harder to distinguish (especially the first verse) when there are a second lot of lyrics playing in the background. But the CD player in my Mum's car has a EQ function (where you can select to emphasize a certain element of the song you're playing), and one of those settings is to emphasize the vocals, so later when I have some spare time I'll go play the CD in the car with that setting and see if it makes it easier to determine the lyrics.

Re: Pull Me Out Alive Lyrics
the tyranny of trying to know everything takes over the freedom of the mind
to find its own course knowing more about less
and this long standing (reserve?) of violence
true to this ubiqinuary feeding of the tendrils
a siren and a mermaid
pull me out
pull me out alive
i'll take you to cities where all the hotspots are
inform the institutions of the defunct soviet union
when every arrow will be defined as post war
to be upon collision course
but if the universe is......you will
pull me out
pull me out alive
the third and fourth lines of the first verse are iffy. ubiquinary isn't even a word, but ubiquitary is. the last line of it is definite though.

actual lyrics
i did the pull me out alive guitar,
here are the lyrics kaki sent me:
the tyranny of trying to know everything
takes over the freedom of the mind
to find it's own course knowing more
about less and less
(2nd verse is pure gibberish but the last line is 'a siren and a mermaid')
Pull me out alive
I'll take you to cities where all the hot spots
are named for the institutions from the defunct
soviet union where every era will be defined as
post war and is on a collision course but if the
universe is random then loving you will mean what?

On a sort of unrelated note, is it true that the lyrics for My Insect Life are gibberish?
