While we all now about the famous Adamas, us guitar nerds all have questions about her performing and recording gear and this is the place to get your questions answered. They have one of these on the TandS .ca board and its great.

Well lets start it off!

For ages now i have wondered what the make of guitar her go to hollow body electric is.

We all know the one. A the beginning of pull me out alive video and prominently featured in "CAWHHTMRBABP" or Can Anyone who has heard this music really be a bad person. I think we should try to spread that anagram to he world.

If anyone knows the brand it would be much appreciated!

I know!!!! Me tooo!!!1 such an amazing pieceof equipment. I know much about her gear except for this elusive black guitar and her loop station with the red buttons from the Gay Sons of Lesbian Mothers video

If anyone knows what kind of loop station that is also that would be fabulous.

i think the loop stations in "the gay sons" is just a prop, to make it look a bit more simplified and nicer than the actual boss loop station that she uses live. A loop station with just 4 big red buttons just doesn't seem feasible to me. lol. but hey, i could be wrong.

i thought it was a gretsch i was always just unable to find it anywhere online! Thanks guys. And i'm absolutely positive that the loopstation exists because this girl i know had one in her basement and when i asked to jam on it she said i couldnt and i became rather downtrodden for the remainder of the night. Anyone got any other Kaki gear questions?

I don't think that Kaki's custom Ovation is even available to the public. I have never seen them for sale up on Ovation's site, and whenever their is an Ovation giveaway associated with her it is always a stock model of theirs, isn't it?
It would be sweet though....

The closest thing to Kaki's model that I've been able to see up for sale to the public is one at Steve's music store downtown TO. However I'm trekking down there somepoint this week so I'll get the prod. number for you. In looks it is exactly similar to kaki's just not with the cloud design around the sound holes. It just has nothing. But carbon top and deep bowl. Also check out the Melissa Etheridge model. Looks quite similar except for the fact that it is a blinding shade of white.

Hey Jorge! Good news!

I've tracked down a really good price for a 2078xt elite! It's found at...

http://www.zozomusic.com/musicstore/pc/Ovation-2078TX-Elite-T-Series-Deep-Contour-Bowl-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar-68p157.htm

And I'm seriously considering this being my next guitar.

As well in news the famous shiny black electric that i have been searching for has come to fruition and my search has reached its end!!!!!

It's a Hamer Studo custom electric!!!!!!! Not a gretsch as i thought at one point in time.

This thrills me as my quest is finally over and I shall start saving all my paychecks for these beautiful creations.

sometimes she used a sunburst guild x-150 guitar. you can see it in the video when she played together with the mountain goats the song 'mosquito repellant'.
