Rasputina <3
Rasputina is my most favorite band ever. I've been into them since I was 11 and they introduced me to good music and art. Next to Kaki, they are the band I have seen live the most (kaki: 5, rasputina: 7). Their music is definitely not for everyone but their integrity and musicality is worth noting. They're composed of two cellists and a drummer and have always made a unique brand of odd and historical themed music.

they've been around since 1991. their first album came out in 1996. an horse just opened for them in november in new york city. i recommend their second album 'how we quit the forest'.
Re: Rasputina <3
there are some rasputina records on megadownload. i really do recommend buying the actual albums to support the band, but if you'd like to sample i recommend 'cabin fever', 'how we quit the forest' or 'frustration plantation'. all really great records each with a very different sound that is all around rasputina. if you choose to download any, stay away from transylvanian regurgitations, and enjoy! also, the lost and found is their covers EP with a cover of wish you were here on it.
